Sharon,
Sorry it has taken so long for me to check on the replies at gen.com.
Since I posted the question, I have amassed about thirty-thousand names in the line of Georg-Jung Harmon Stults (b1727 Germany d<1800> NC). There are several with the name of Harmon Stults. One is Harmon, b1812 PA-d1888 IN, married Sarah Decker (Deckard). Another is Harmon W., b1835 OH-d1911 IN, married Lucinda Kitt.
These are from Georg-Jung (George Junior, in German terms) who immigrated in 1743 aboard a merchant ship out of Rotterdam, landing (most likely) in Virginia. He married a young lady from the Huguenot village of Manikin, VA, and settled in Surry (Stokes) County, NC.
Two step-brothers and an uncle came over on the Edinburgh in 1753(?), and kinda followed his settlement route.
A great-uncle, William, came over in the 1600's, and settled in NJ. He created the first wompum factory in the Colonies. His NJ line is extremely prolific. And, it also moved through PA, OH, IN, IL, and Canada. (His line is also credited with the first train robbery perpetrated on this continent)
The Stults line is one of those quiet giants. In the early years of the settlement, we were just soldiers protecting our families and communities. The originals were cabinet makers, carpenters, farmers, and millers. We are best suited for the temperate climates, so that is why there are so many more in the northern part of this country.
Anyway, I have been using the PAF5 genealogy software program supplied by the LDS church (from their gen website). Let me know if my Stults line (spread out from Huntington, In) is of any use to you, and I will send you what I have.
I was born in Montana, and currently live in Utah. Send me an email, and I will give you my street address.
Peace.
Leonard Stults
