Question: You wrote that
William Suddarth, Sr.b: 02 February 1756 in Albemarle Co., VAd: 18 November 1832 in Albemarle Co., VA
............................................+Martha Pleasantsb: 26 April 1765 in Goochland Co., VAd: Bef. 09 June 1831 in State of Virginiam: 01 April 1786 in Goochland Co., VA
...............................................6Elizabeth Farrah Suddarthb: Abt. 1800d: Abt. 1864 in Washington Co., VA
......................................................+Matthias Dettorb: 16 August 1799 in Albemarle Co., VAd: Bef. 25 January 1840 in Albemarle Co., VAm: 09 October 1821 in Albemarle Co., VA
Elizabeth married Matthias Dettor. William Suddarth's will, in Albemarle Co., vA., Will Bk. 11, p. 55, written June 9, 1831, and proven Aug. 6, 1832, names his daughter as Elizabeth F. Dettor. Her husband's name is not given; however, in the "History of Albemarle County", the author says that Elizabeth was married to John W. Dettor. I have no idea what proof was cited in the book; however, would like to know what proof you have found that she was married to Matthias... (Was it their marriage record?).
Also, on an earlier note, what prrof do you have to link James (who married Patience Sumter) as the son of William, b. 1700, and William in turn as the son of James, b. 1680, and then James to Lawrence. I am painstakingly entering all the data I have gathered from these counties to try and sort this out, but have been able to do so as yet. Thanks. Vickie
