Yes, from your description of Katherine's background, I'd say we're discussing the same family.
I have setup a website for genealogical research into the Sulewski line (though also for other lines from whence I spring)...
The 1900 WI census page we're talking about is on this site. If you click on the Sulewski link under surnames on the left side of the page you'll see it.
That's interesting what you state re: the relatives living at any one address. I thought that odd, that 9 (adult) kids (some with spouses and kids) would be living with August at one residence. I wondered about the size of that house! ;-)
So what you say makes sense. Looks that this enumerator was diligent in tracing through the patriarch. Also note that though 12 children were born, only 9 survived.
I have been corresponding with a nice lady in France who has done research via the (former) Westprussian Catholic Church books. They are chock full of Sulewskis. There is an August in there born at the right time in the right place (June or July of 1842). But little other information has surfaced thus far. If I could only find a ship's manifest with him on it....
