Chrystal-
Here is a computerized version of the notebook you are seeking. The original is, I believe, still in the hands of Gloria Sumpter, daughter of John Alexander, and my aunt. She has had a stroke, and am not sure it will ever be recovered. She sent a hand-typed copy to Jane Malone George, who sent this along to me.Hope this helps.I may have other info, including cemetery information on that part of the family if you want it.I also have a short biography about Alexander Sumpter.Email me if you like.Ellen:)
From Notebook by held John A. Sumpter; Written in longhand by his
father, Alexander Sumpter, Jr.
Comments in brackets [ ] are Jane Malone-George's notes, "pure
speculation and
unproved theories, mostly " her words.
