Mima Serratt>Scott, Wythe VA area

Am interested in input by Serratt/Surratt students, who might be knowledgeable about Mima Serratt who married James Scott (1785-1850) of Wythe County, VA. My understanding is that they had about thirteen children, perhaps among which was a daughter, Elizabeth Scott, born about 1810. Elizabeth Scott married about the latter 1820s to Snider B. Mays, who came about 1826 from Pittsylvania to Wythe County, and they had three children . . . Joseph Jackson (b1830), Emily (b1832), & Eliza Jane (b1838-40). There is no indication that the marriage of Elizabeth & Snider continued beyond about 1840, although both remained in the general vicinity of Wytheville, and daughter Eliza Jane married in Wythe in 1866. The 1868 Death Index of nearby Carroll County, VA includes the following record.
Scott, Elisabeth (fem), 17 Jun 1868, cause: unknown, age: 51 years, parents: unknown, consort: Wm Surratt, informant: Wm Surratt, husband
'The preceding Elisabeth's' birthyear would calculate at about 1807, which corresponds well with the 1801-1809 birthyear range indicated in the 1830 Wythe, VA census, and also reasonably well with the 1810 birthyear indicated in the 21 September 1850 Wythe, VA census for Snider B. Mays's wife, Elizabeth Scott. Might any students of the Serratt/Surratt line possess awarenesses that would be useful in further resolving this lineal interrelationship?
Thanks from Bob Mayse
