Jennifer, my great great grandfather, James Surratt, was born in South Carolina in 1775. He died in McNairy Co, TN sometime before 1830. It seems highly likely that he left family members behind in South Carolina, so we're probably related. However, I have no information about other Surratts currently in South Carolina.

What is your family line back to 1775?
