William Pearlie Surratt was the son of Micajah M. Surratt and Mary Lucinda Coggins. Pearlie was born in Davidson Co., NC, and descends from a long line of Surratt ancestors in that area. Micajah (b. 1851 in Davidson Co.) was the son of Spencer Surratt (b. 1811 in Davidson Co.), and Spencer was the son of Beverly Surratt (b. ca. 1793 in Rowan or Davidson Co., NC). Have you checked out the web site for Surratt/Sarratt Families in America?

William Pearlie Surratt registered for WW I in 1917 in Bottom Grove Pct., Davidson Co., NC. He stated that he was born Sep 14, 1897, and resided at Southmont, NC. He was described as tall, with medium build, blue eyes and light hair. He was farming with his father as an occupation.
