John and James Sursa

I appreciate the addition of the Sursa name to Genforum. Brothers James and John Sursa left Rutherford County, TN ca. 1826 and removed to Jefferson County, IL. Family tradition gives the original spelling as Searcy. Additional information supports this. Their parents were Richard and Elizabeth (Carlisle) Searcy. Richard d. Sumner Co. TN 1804. No information on mother or sister Rebecca. Will be glad to exchange information with anyone interested in these lines. Joy Denton
