Agabitan (Cap) Suszek, 62, of 310 Heron, was dead on arrival at Alpena Hospital, where he was taken at 7 p.m. Saturday by ambulance. The resuscitator was used in route.
Mr. Suszek was born Aug. 18, 1903, in Alpena County and worked for Thunder Bay Quarries for 24 years, before going to Thunder Bay Manufacturing co, from which he retired in 1962 due to poor health. He was a member of St. Mary Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Kaszubowski, whom he married June 3, 1929, at St. Casimir Church in Posen; four sons, David, Paul and Richard of Alpena and James at home; five daughters, Mrs. Francis Filipiak (Joanne) of Rogers City, Mrs. Albin Jozwiak ((Blanche), Mrs. Eldon Zdybel (Sally), Mrs. Gerald LeFave (Irene) and Mrs. James Blaski (Diane), all of Alpena; 25 grandchildren; five brothers, Isadore, Felix, Joseph and Anthony of Alpena and Walter of Bolton; and two sisters, Mrs. Theophil Jakubiak of Bolton.
The Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 at the Hunter Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 Tuesday at St. Mary Church. The Very Rev. Raymond Mulka will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harry Jakubiak, Martin, Ray and Lloyd Suszek and Clarence and Chester Dziesinski.
