John Willilam and Lorenzo Dow Suthard

JWS (b.1851) was my g-grandfather. He and his brother LDS (b. 1855)were orphaned at a very young age.

We believe his parents were moving north to leave a slave state and they died along the way.

It is thought that there might have been two older sisters who ended up in a convent.

I found a Mahr Suthard in KY who had two daughters in the 1850 census. I can not find evidence of them in any later census.

Any help on any of these individuals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Mark O.
