Regarding Capt. William Swabey. Records show that he retired from the army in 1825. What details are there of his military service between 1815 (Waterloo)and 1825? Also, where in Buckinghamshire did he live after his retirement - Clifton Reynes? It is said that after his marriage (1820) he lived at Somerly Park, Hants. although other info. says that he still had involvement in Bucks. up to 1827. When was he Master of the Pytchley Hunt (the Hunt has lost its records of that period)? Upon his return from Canada (1861) One report say he and his family went to live in Sussex while another says that he travelled from Essex to Wavendon. From the records of Wavendon House there appears no mention of William Swabey; did he live at the House itself or within another house on the estate, say Clifton House?
