I'm also descended from him - maybe not suprisingly with the same name ! I know a great deal about William having researched his army and Prince Edward Island career extensively, if not exhaustively. We still have his sword from the Royal Horse Artillery
campaigns in the Peninsular War and Waterloo in the family.
