I think you have the right Thomas born in 1828 (son of Eliakim) He married Maria Liverman in Tyrell in 1847 (she was born in 1831 (Confusing since Thomas' father Eliakim married a Mary Liverman (b 1794 d. 1855)in Tyrell in 1818
Thomas and Maria had Thomas in 1851, Charles in 1859, Doctine Franklin in 1865, Mary in 1866 and Edward in 1869 - would question legiblity of census. Mary married a Daniel E. Woodley (don't have date in my notes but may have been in Washington, NC - she died there in 1927, he in 1962 (Plymouth, NC
