The "Swain's" = "MacSwain" originated in Isle Skye, Scotland. I visited a Celtic Shop yesterday located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The owner is Scottish and showed me her handbook of all clans. She brought the book back with her from Scotland. It showed me who I am and where I came from. I was always told I was Scottish / Irish. She told me some of the clan relocated to Ireland. My great great grandfather: John W. Swain is from Sharpsburg, Maryland and I never could find out who his parents were in order to trace my roots back to Europe. I reside in Harrisburg, PA.

Feel free to write me with any questions. Have a great day,
Cheryl
