Hello there,
I’m looking to find the parents of William James Swain.
What I have so far: -
He was born in Hastings, Sussex and was a Fish Hawker by Trade. I’m not sure when he was born (Approx 1845 to 1848) or when he got married to his first wife Annie Ellen Turner (If he was married?)
Their 1st and only child was born William James Swain 30/11/1872 in Hastings, Sussex and then Annie died shortly after this time aged 24 years on the 7/1/1876.
His 2nd wife was a lady called Rhoda Stone they married on the 16/3/1876 in All Saints,
Hastings.
From this marriage certificate I have both the fathers names as James Swain and Stone.
This is where I’m at.
Any details regarding James Swain and if he was William’s father would be greatly received.
