Hello,

I am looking for information on the Swain family that came from Ireland to Russell and Carleton Counties in Ontario, Canada.

Ann md. Samuel Cook and farmed in the Cumberland area as early as the 1851 census. Later they moved wih their little family to Nepean, Carleton County and lived there until at least the 1881 census.

James lived in Cumberland also and on the 1871 census can be found in farming in the Carleton County.

Hugh is listed in 1871 census as carpenter living in Cumberland, Russell County.

And Elizabeth md. John Flannery and can be found on the 1871 and 1881 census residing there with their children.

If you have any information that would link these folks together I would be most grateful.

Thank you for reading this message and I so appreciate your interest in this the Swain family.

Beverley
