Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your responding to my message. I tried to e-mail you directly but wasn't sure if you received my note so I thought perhaps it would be a good idea to post here too. I don't have a lot of info on Ann Swain (born abt 1816 in Ireland) but I do know that she married Samuel Cook and they had at least five children: James, Samuel, Catherine Ann, Isabell (Percilla), Mary Ann and Elizabeth. These children were born from abt 1843 to 1856. The sons were born in Canada West and the daughters were born in Cumberland, Russell County, Ontario. I have an idea that Ann is the daughter of James Swayne who was living in Nepean Township in 1842 with a family of ten but to date no proof. Do you have a copy of The McCabe's List? From what I have been able to determine many if not most of the early Irish settlers are list in this book along with family members and from whence they came. Thank you for checking your files for me and I hope to hear from you soon. Beverley Notify Administrator about this message?
