Hello Michele and Neva!
David M. Swain the steamboat builder from Stillwater, MN is my great great uncle. I am very interested in learning about David Swain's parents (my gggrandparents) of whom I know very little.
I have original newspaper obituaries including ones for David M. Swain and his brother William A. Swain passed down to me by my aunt. I have an original obituary for Lott T. Swain "last of a family of 15 ". Lott was born Sept. 15, 1848 & died Oct. 18, 1933. His obituary is from the Marengo Regional New... (<---rest of name is chopped off from clipping) I haven't yet determined how he is related to the rest of the family.
I am happy to share these obituaries and other relevant stuff. I can send scanned images or transcripts by e-mail. Also, it sounds like you have information that can expand my family tree! I hope you will share.
