Hi Janice:

I am not at home to access my handwritten files...so please bear with me.

I was referring to the John R Swain on the 1930 census listed with Fannie Young. I was not certain that he was my "Riley" since I couldn't determine who Fannie was!

I did find what I thought were listings for Riley on the 1900 and 1910 census, but could not be positive. I will look for those in my notes when I am at home.

The two newspaper articles I have list that both Mrs. Young and Riley were in Eastern/Central Oregon for some period after the 1920's. I do not know whether they were just visiting (as both Martha and Rachel lived in Oregon) or if it was a long term couple of years. Obviously they were back in AR by 1930. As sson as I can get the articles I refer to, I will pass them on to you.
