Hi Janice:

I was wondering if you had any information on Sergent Jasper Swain? I do believe that this was Rachel and Fannie's father...although her death certificate lists her father as Perry Jasper Swain and her mother as Waldoup.

Do you know of the origination of the first name, Sergent?
Rachel Matilda Swain Teague also named one of her sons Perry Jasper Swain.
