We went to the Columbus Public Library yesterday and found the Greenlawn Interment Records for Mark and Grace. Mark was born 5/17/1873 and died 9/21/1933 of cerebral hemmorrhage. Parents are listed as John T & Katherine (Taylor) Swain.
Grace was born on 5/30/1872 and died 5/17/1932 of diabetes. Parents are listed as Jefferson and Livonia (Richards) Zollinger. They are buried on Jacob Zollinger's lot (Jacob is Jefferson's father)
Grace and Mark also had a son named John J who was born in 1897 and died on 9/30/1897 of Spinal memingitis.
John and Katherine (Catherine, Kate) were married in Franklin County on 12/11/1864.
John was born on 2/24/1931 and died on October 2, 1888 of Typhoid fever. Parents are listed as Mathias and E. Swain.
Kate disappears after the 1901-02 Columbus City Directory (?died or remarried).
There is a Matthias Swain who married a Betsy Riddell in 1820 in Franklin County.
I am hoping to get to the Historical Society soon to look for death certificates and marriage certificates.
