Susan,
I am researching these families(Swain, Cahoon,Chesson) and others, to find more on my Hyman/Gibbs lines from Bertie and Martin Counties in NC. Hugh H. Hyman was born about 1702 in England, and died Jan. 15, 1757 in Bertie County, NC. He ties in with most of the above families....
Could you explain more on the errors you have found about the Swain family? Are you referring to William CAHOON as your 4th Great Grandfather or another William??
