Can you tell me where you think she was born, or where she was married? I have been trying to track down descendants of cousins of my great-grandfather, including Mary Riddle HOWARD, who married Joseph W. SWAIN 1876 in St. Joseph, Missouri. I discovered that Joseph W. Swain was born 1851 in Cincinatti, Ohio, son of Anthony SWAIN and Anna M. OWEN. Anthony and Anna's other children were Cora E. born 1853 and Julia M. born 1855.

This was Anthony's second marriage, however, as he had 6 children by a first wife, Evaline OWEN. These older children were (birth dates approximate from census records): Alonzo born 1839, Amanda born 1841, Charles A. born 1844, Desdimonia born 1846, Anna L. born 1847, and John T. born 1849.

It is very possible that this could be your same Amanda. Do any of the other names I've mentioned fit in?
