I am a descendant of Noah Swain, born dec 29, 1793 on Nantucket. Family history says he was a sea captain who came around to New Orleans and came up the Mississippi to Quincy, Ill. He is burried just south of the Quincy airport. Family history also says he left a wife in Nantucket who refused to come west. Since Nantucket is not that big, I suspect a connection, but he would be a generation later than your Eunice.
