My Eunice is the daughter of Elijah Swain and Susanna Cathcart. Elijah evidently went to Nova Scotia and was even granted land there but returned to MA. I have never been able to determine if Eunice went to N.S. with her parents and met Isaac there or what happened. Nor do I know if she never returned. Only that Isaac remarried in 1772 in Dartmouth MA so she must have been deceased. I think you are right on about the whalers and Isaac was one with them as he
returned just as whaling got "unprofitable".
