Searching for info on John Swain born in County Carlow IRL in 1832. Arrived in Canada possibly Durham Co about 1839. His parents were John Swain and Margaret Donahue Swain. They were farmers. The younger John married
Charlotte Guess dau of Margue Guess and Frances Dewitt Guess in 1860 near Kingston Ontario Canada. I believe they then moved on to Iowa (Marengo then Remsen then Lemars). Any info would be greatly appreciated. John is my GG-Grandfather.
