I had been told that my Samuel Simpson's wife, Mary, was Mary Swain. There are others who now say she was Mary Kennedy. Your information would lead me to believe this as my Samuel Simpson died in TN in 1783. He was not living in Augusta Co., VA. His relatives lived in Greene, Washington and Sullivan Cos., TN. Later, they moved to Wayne and Pulaski Cos., KY. I think my Mary Simpson must have been Mary Kennedy, instead of Mary Swain.
