Since your message is a year old, you may already have the information you need, but here is what I have. I believe that Britton Powers (b. 24 Sep 1820)and Louisa Swain (b. 28 Sep 1826)of NC were gg-grandparents of mine. Their daughter Edna Ellen Powers (b. 4 Feb 1853) is my g-grandmother (m. Nehemiah Norman, 1872). The 1850 Census for Washington Cty, NC is online but does not list Ann Eliza Powers, only Matilda and Jos. I think that they also had a son named John James Powers (b. 20 Oct 1860). I hope this helps you. If you have any information on this line, I would appreciate knowing. Thanks!
