Peter Swank - Ohio - about 1844/45

I am still trying to find any information available about my gggrandfather Peter Swank, who lived in the Akron, Ohio area, married there in 1844 or 45 to Sarah Brown.

Peter was born in New Jersey in 1802, came across to Ohio in a covered wagon with his family shortly thereafter. His father settled in the Akron area and is said to have had a large farm there. Some time after their marriage, Peter and Sarah moved on first to the Elkhart, Indiana area and then to the Dowagiac, Michigan area.

I am trying to find out who Peter's father, mother and siblings were. I know that there are lots of Swanks living now in the Akron area, and were a lot of Swanks in Ohio back in the mid 1840's. Will gladly share any info I have on his decendants.

Thanks in advance for any info.
