Jacob D. Swank, b. 1871, Davidsville, PA

I have a g-grandfather named Jacob D. Swank. Death certificate and obit state birth date as 1-26-1871 from Davidsville, PA.

Research indicates a Jacob D Swank as the son of Josiah Swank. 1870 census of Conemaugh twp has:

Swank ,Charlotte 14 Penna
Swank , Elisabeth 44 Penna
Swank , John 6 Penna
Swank , Josiah 47 Penna
Swank , Mary 22 Penna
Swank , Peter 7 Penna
Swank , Samuel 6 Penna
Swank , WEllwood 20 Penna

Note, that my Jacob D was born in 1871. This info provided to me by Steve Swank.

Other research from the HISTORY OF BEDFORD, SOMERSET, AND FULTON COS. has Jacob D. Swank, son of Josiah Swank with Esquire after his name and living alone in 1884. My Jacob would be too young for that, so the Historical and Genealogical Society of Somerset County does not think my Jacob D. is the son of Josiah.

Death certificate has parents as unknown. My Jacob D was married to Mary Dunn, b. 11-2-1875 of Johnstown PA. They moved to Youngstown, Ohio circa 1906. Obit says Jacob had 4 sisters and 2 brothers. No names given for them.

Any help in identifying my Jacob would be greatly appreciated. He has become a wall to our efforts to trace his side.
