Hello Katie:
I have been working on our Swank family history for about a year. I have good information on Grant, very little on John D. and some on Joseph. In July we went to Rockingham Co. Virginia to visit the graves of Joseph Swank, Elizabeth Landes, Muddy Creek John Beery and Lydia Showalter, Margaret Beery's parents. We also visited Max Showalter and his family, 4th cousins. We went around the area around Singers Glen and saw some of the farms our ancestors owned.
I have our Beery,Spitler, and Rienhart ancestors back to Switzerland and Germany.
Perhaps we can get together and compaer notes.Tell Your dad I said hello!
Elmer Swank Jr.
