Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I AM NOT REALLY SURE IF WE ARE RELATED IN ANY WAY, BUT MY GRANDFATHER'S NAME WAS ARCH PHILIP SWANK. HIS ANCESATORS CAME WEST TO ILLINOIS IN 1820. THEY STOPPED IN ROSS COUNTY, OHIO FOR SURE. ALL I KNOW ABOUT WHAT MY GRANDFTHER USED TO SAY ABOUT HIS FAMILY WAS THAT THEY WERE PENN. DUTCH AND ENGLISH AND THAT CAME FROM S0MEWHERE IN PA. MY COUSIN SHIRLEY NESBITT, INDIANOLA, IL HAS MORE INFORMATION. SHE KEEPS TELLING ME THAT ANY NAMES THAT HAVE BEEN USED BY OUR KNOWN ANCESTORS THAT SHOW UP IN GENEOLOGY LISTS COULD BE RELATED TO US. SINCE ARCH IS A SHORTEN VERSION OF ARCHIBALD I THAOUGHT I WOULD LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS. PLEASE SEND ME AN E-MAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL HAVE MY COUSIN INFORM YOU OF WHAT SHE HAS FOUND
