SWANK, JACOB, farmer; was born near Ankneytown, Nov. 26, 1844. He was married to Mary Yarger, Oct. 20, 1872; she was born July 31, 1853; children - Harry M., born Dec. 3, 1873 ; Viola E., July 28, 1875; Jessy Bloom, May 2, 1878. In 1867, Mr. Swank bought a partial interest in a thrashing-machine, which he retained three years; he then went to buying butter and eggs ; he continued this two years, and then began farming.
