Hi, Marj,
The tree is at genealogy.com, and you do need a subscription to access it.I was looking for the person who had created it in the hope of comparing notes, but it seems there are very few of us these days who are looking at the line in this tree. There is no Lemuel in it.The oldest ancestor in tree# 1527 is John Swank, and we don't know where he came from.He is in Westmoreland County, PA in 1800 and in 1810.His children listed in the tree are all born between 1800 and 1817 (John died in 1818), and their names are:Daniel, Mary, John, Sarah, George, Hannah, Anna, and Elizabeth.I don't know where the daughters went and have not been able to find anything more about any of them.Daniel stayed in Westmoreland County until his death in 1838.John was in either Westmoreland or Armstrong counties, and George moved to Johnstown in 1838 where he died in 1856.
I did take a quick look in genealogy.com and in ancestry.com, but anything I found that I knew was your Lemuel looks to have been created by you. There was on article from A Memorial and Biographical Record of Iowa showing Lemuel and Martha Honold's daughter, Eliza J.'s marriage to Henry Joy, born 2/25/1838 in Muskingum County, Ohio, son of Thomas and Milly Ann Rollings Joy.Henry and Eliza were married 2/20/1865 and had the following children:Millie Ann, John, Frank, Myrtie, Edna, Bruce and Ivy.Eliza died 10/5/1888.Maybe you already have that, but it was all I could find.
We have been at the proverbial brick wall trying to find out any information on our John Swank.
Mary Lou
