That's a pretty broad question.
I think the majority of the Michigan Swart families are descended from the Mohawk Valley families who gradually migrated west, more than a few of them after a generation or two spent in Western New York, particularly around Shelby. All or most of them, I think, would be descendants of third-generation Teunis, who followed the Vroomans into Schoharie in about 1715.
There are also in Michigan some related Swarts who back-migrated from Canada, perhaps early 20th. century, who descended from Bartholomew Swart Jr. of Schoharie (b.1881) who settled near London Ont. in 1815.
If you could be more specific I might be able to point you in the right direction.
I no longer live in Michigan so I cannot access local records in Flint, but the LDS poeple can help a lot, as do census records.
