I am in search of information on or about MARGARETTA SWARTS, married Conrad or Conradt KORNMAN, CORNMAN, CORMAN, May 1, 1749, in St. Michael Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have no age or place of birth, (although, I am most assured it was in Rhineland-Pfaltz-Germany) No dates of death or location, nor either of her parents. Margaretta & Conrad were the parents of two children. 1. David (no records) 2. Anna Appolina Kornman, who married Johan Nicholas Gebhardt (my lineage) Corad and Margaretta were both deceased before the 1790 Federal Census. With extensive research, no other church records have been found with their names recorded.
Conrad is listed in the Colonial Census Pennysylvania, Philadelphia County, 1741 as a laborer. It is known with what little paper trail I have, Conrad and Margaretta lived in Lebanon county, Pa., with farming an occupation From the same Colonial Census (have stated before) the following Swarts were listed along with the year they immigrated. Abraham Swatrs, 1727; Hans Mical Swartz, 1741; Conrad Swarts, 1739; Georg Swarts, 1737; Jacob Swarts, 1739; Jurig Swarts, 1727, 2nd Jacob Swarts, 1737; I feel that one of the named Swarts could be her father. My only hope is that someone out there working with this surname, and perhaps has a will of any of the before mentioned men, can help me. I would greatly appreciate any help or information anyone would send along. As I do not have time to check these genforms as often as I would like. Please e-mail me: gebhart@citznet.com. Thank you for reading this queery. Bernard K. Gebhart
