Edward Swayne, born England 11-20-1702 died 4-24-1777, son of Francis Swayne and Elizabeth Milton, married at New Garden Mtg. 2-25-1728 Sarah Fincher born 1798 die 11-1804, daughter of john Fincher and martha Taylor of London grove. Edward is on lists of East marlbourgh taxables from 1766-1774 as owner of acres, horses, cattle and sheep. Although he live d to be 74, Sarah survived him 28 yeas, dying at the age of about 96. having outlived nearly the third generation of Swanyes. she was probable the last one laid to rest in the family burying ground.
