Your research may lead to William and Lucy Turbeville Sweatt who live at Hunt's Bluff along the Pee Dee River in Marlboro Co. (Bennettsville SC). My ggg grandfather William K Sweatt(1812-1881) was a nephew to William and Lucy. William and Lucy had 4 sons and 2 daughters and one of whom was Allen Sweatt. A James Sweatt also was in that line. During the Revolutionary War, James Theophilius, Allen, and another brother migrated from Marlboro Co. SC to the Allendale District of South Carolina. There, Allen moved on to Ga. and his children moved on to Alabama and elsewhere. The Sweatt's actually migrated from Bladen County, North Carolina. There were strong Indian ties to this family as well during that time. The name Whittington Sweatt does ring a bell. I believe I came across his wife and childrens graves in Clio (Marlboro County) SC. If you know his wife's name, let me know so that I can look through my notes. Thanks, Henry
