I have ancestors of William James Knox back to Robert Knox b. 1742 Ireland. His Knox line starts in Mecklenburg Co. NC in 1775. Three of his grandchildren migrated west together through Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. They were Jane (Knox) Deweese, Robert McComb Knox and William Jackson Knox (father of William James Knox). Many others are still in North Carolina. I have alot of information on descendents if you wish to share. Contact me at khayes57@bellsouth.net.
