Thanks to your information, I have been able to trace my ancestry back to the Rev. Nathan Sweatt by "filling in the holes." My father was Robert C. Sweatt, born in Ethel, Ms. His father was Cornelius T. Sweatt. His father was Nathan Nawls Sweatt (who we somehow were misinformed was "Newton" Sweatt),and, of course, his father was the Rev. Sweatt, my great, great grandfather.
Nathan Nawls married Sarah A. Bridges (her nickname, we learned, was "Tommie."). They must have been kept very busy as they had eight children!
