He was a Civil War vetran. He was a Pvt Company F of the Kentucky 12th Calv. Please note though I have seen his name as Robert F. and Robert T. I figure the tombstone is well worn and hard to read. He seems to have moved out of Kentucky by 1900. My library doen't have much on the Missouri County. But I am intending to get obits from the newspaper in the future.
