Your Olaf is my great-grandfather. He applied to be a naturalized citizen in Anoka county November 1, 1883 and again in Mille Lacs county October 31, 1892 as Ole Swedberg. His name on census records is Ole. They had a farm near Milaca MN where they lived until about 16 years before Ole died, when they moved into the town of Milaca. I have a copy of his death notice from the Mille Lacs County Times dated April 4, 1935. His wife, Christine, died in 1942. Their only son, Oscar, married my grandmother and they had 4 children. My mother was the youngest, but never knew Oscar, as he died about 6 months after she was born. I have a copy of a chart provided by a cousin in Sweden, as well as a translated letter Christine sent to "Erik in Torsmo" July 20, 1915. I would love to share notes with you.
