If your Alfred left Sweden using a patronymic last name (ending with son) as most of our ancestors did, then you will need much more information to separate him from hundreds or thousands of others named Alfred and born around 1867.
There is a column for a year of immigration in the U.S. Federal Censuses for 1900-1910-1920-1930. What year did you find for Alfred? Also, there is a month and year of birth in the 1900 U.S. Federal Census.
Apparently the above Alfred had a destination in "Dakota" (North or South, I don't know.)
