I know this is a longshot, but here goes: Do you know if Patrick Augustus had any relations that moved to St. Albans, VT about or before 1820?My gggrandfather is Daniel J. Sweeny b. 03/25/1822 in St. Albans or Pt.Alburgh VT.d. 12/30/1894 South Bend (Cass County) Nebraska.mMary Dover Grout b. 10/22/1829 Jamestown (Chautauqua County), New York.Dec 23, 1843 @ Kalamazoo Michigan.
Daniel and Mary's children were:
1.James F. Sweeny b. Feb 9, 1845 Michigan
2.Sophia A. Sweeny b. April 7, 1851 Michigan or Livingston County, Il
3.Gustavus Sweeny b. Sept 27, 1854 Livingston County, Il
4.Edward Solomon Sweeny b. Dec 16, 1857 Livingston County, Il
5. MaryAlice Sweeny b. May 21 1861 Livingston County, Il d. 1945 Forestville, CA. M. Joseph H. Coburn b. 1855 - d. 1918
6.Rosa Ada (or Addie) Sweeny b. July 7, 1864 South Bend, NE d. 11 Dec 1939, Graton, CA.She is buried in the Stine family plot in the Forestview Cemetery in Forestville, CA.
7.Jessie Daniel Sweeny b. March 28, 1867 in South Bend, Ne
I have hit a brick wall finding Daniel's parents.Much of his early information comes from a biographical sketch published in the 1880's.At that time he was a prominent land owner in Cass County, Nebraska.Any illumination would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
