Obituary of Hilda Fisher Stodard
Charlotte Hilda Swicegood Fisher Stodard, 79, of Sam Jonas Drive, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Lexington, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Las Vegas.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. T.R. Moore. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Stodard was born in Davidson County on Sept. 20, 1924, to Clarence M. Swicegood and Eva Crosby Williams Swicegood. She was a graduate of Salisbury Business College. She was retired owner and operator of the Four Seasons Restaurant in Salisbury and was a former member of Tyro United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Lawrence Fisher; and one brother, Clifton Swicegood.
Surviving are her husband, Billy D. Stodard of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son, Johnny Lawrence Fisher and his wife, Sandra, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three grandchildren, Johnnie Lanning Bell and her husband, Raymond, of Churchland, Elizabeth Lanning Hower and her husband, Ed, of Thomasville, and Johnny Ray Fisher and his wife, Dianna, of Winston-Salem; and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Bell of Churchland, Samantha Hower of Thomasville and Andy Lisenby of Winston-Salem.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of a granddaughter, Johnnie Bell, 7947 Highway 150 South, Lexington.
