I have a note about a George W. Swiggart, son of George W. Swiggart. It reads as follows:

George W. Swiggart, farmer, rancher, Nebraska. Born in 1857 in Sullivan Co. Missouri (son George W. and Martha (Grimm) S. the father of German descent the mother of English descent, who moved to Nebr. in 1860). Married (1) Susan Doyle Worth (of Kansas), their children: RAlph; Grace; Edith; Ora; Walter, and Ray and (2) Lyda Worth (of Kansas) one child- Georgia. Mr. Swiggart was one of the organizers of Grant County and was elected one of the first commissioners and served 12 years; was a member of the school board, etc.

This is down line but perhaps one of the people mentioned has more information.

Best Wishes,
Adrianne
