I have information on some Swigarts- not sure how they fit in with yours-mine starts with John Swigart married to Sara Bowser - not sure of any dates- John son was Abraham- (married to Mary Brown) and his son was Abraham born 20 July 1843 he married Cinderella Claypoole. I am not sure if any of this information is helpful to you as I don't have any dates What little information I have I do not have documented. This is all family hand- me-downs.
The Swigarts are of German Ancestry. First coming to the US during the American Revolution- they were hired by the British as mercenaries- these "Hessians" (named so because they were from Hessia) accepted the offer of George Washington to switch sides in return for property in PA. Two Swigart brothers who were masons by trade traveled to Kittanning (Armstrong country)PA to build the Eagle Hotel. One of these brothers was Abraham- who married Mary Brown- they had eight children 1-Cass 2-Rachel 3-Mary 4- Elizabeth
5-Gilpen 6-Jacob 7-Peter and 8 Abraham This is the Abraham that married Cinderella Claypoole.Their daughter Bessie married into the Bowser family The information that I have is sketchy at best....I hope it helps you in some way....Lisa
