Swigart-Sulouff & Swigart-Spigelmyer of Juniata Co. PA

I attempted to contact the author of an old posting on WorldConnect using the E-mail address given for that posting, viz. . My E-mail was returned to me due to "permanent address error."

The name "swigart" in the failed E-mail address seems to identify the author as a Swigart but I have been unable to further identify the person who posted on WorldConnect. So I am posting my message on the Swigart Family Genealogy Forum in an effort to contact the author of the WorldConnect message. Any assistance provided by anyone to help me contact the author, whose earlier address was, will be appreciated.

My "rejected" message follows.

I have been advised that errors posted at

can only be corrected by the author of the posting. You are shown as author for the posting about the parents of Earl Emert Sulouff (1892-1965), husband of Anne Lodema 'Annie' Spigelmyer (1894-1981), and for the four children shown for Annie and Earl.

The correct name for the father of Earl Emert Sulouff is (John) Edmund 'Ed' Sulouff (1850-1935) not "John Edward Solouff," as shown on the above mentioned Webpage.

I was well acquainted with (John) Edward Sulouff ("young Ed) and I also knew his father, (John) Edmund Sulouff ("old Ed") quite well. (John) Edmund Sulouff's eldest son was my grandfather, Lucian Sulouff, and "young Ed" was my grandfather's youngest brother.

Also, the surnames for all four of Annie & Earl's children should be spelled Sulouff. There were numerous cousins living in the same area (Juniata & Mifflin Counties) who spelled their surnames Suloff, but the Sulouff spelling was used by Earl's ancestors all the way back to his immigrant forefather. There was often confusion in the community about which spelling to use because two of the immigrant's sons changed their spelling to Suloff while the other two retained the Sulouff spelling, which the immigrant, himself, used in Milford Twp.

Would you kindly see if you are able to make the corrections to the posting on the above mentioned Webpage?

Incidently, Earl & Annie had a total of eight children (five daughters and three sons). If you should like to fill out the full complement of their children, feel free to contact me via E-mail .

I presume you are probably a descendant of their daughter, Marion Leola Sulouff (1916-1934) who wed John Wesley Swigart (1914-2006). (I can remember visiting them as a child in company with my parents back in the 1930's and 1940's.) I show 30 descendants and 12 spouses of descendants for this Swigart couple but I have no contact in the Swigart branch of the family to keep me updated. I'd like to see if I have you correctly in my database, so if you tell me your given names and your parentage, I will be happy to receive that information.
