Am looking for info on David Swigart, b. 1795, Lancaster cnty, Pa. Married Rebecca (b. in Pa. 1800/02) They moved to Ohio before 1823--had 8 children born between 1823 and 1840; James W. b. 1823; George W. b. 1825; Mary M. born 1826; Catherine b. 1828; Daniel b. 1831; David F. b. 1834; Ellioner b. 1836 and Sarah Ann b. 1840. The family moved to Sullivan Cnty, Mo. sometime before 1850. David probably had siblings who lived in Ohio at the same time. (See Swigert for marriages) This family name was originally spelled Schweikhard, the grandchildren of David and Rebecca spelled it Swiggart. Would appreciate any info. Thanks.
