I am searching for family of my great great grandfather J. W. Swilling, I think born in South Carolina around 1840. I know nothing about his parents, but he married a woman with the initials M.E., and they had at least 8 children. Daughters Dolly, L. F., Rebecca, M. J., and Mary Louise. Sons J. T., James and G. E. (I do not know the full names of the children with initials). The mother was born in Georgia, as were all of the children except for the two youngest, which were born in Texas. The family lived in McLennan County as of the 1880 census. J. W. Swilling was a farmer, and some of the family is buried in the China Springs Cem., in China Springs, Texas. Do you have anyone in your family line that would match?
